How to Unicycle

Unicycling

To get on the unicycle stay next to a wall.



Then on the unicycle there’s a handle in front of the seat.


Put your hand in the handle.


Then get on the unicycle and leave your hand in the handle.


After that put one pedal down and one pedal up.


put the leg on the side with the pedal that's down first.


After that put the other leg on the high pedal.


Then start pedalling.



Riding

To stay riding on the unicycle ride fast so you don’t fall off.


After that look straight not down.


Safety

Wear a helmet so you don’t crack your head.

Wear shoes so you don’t hurt your feet.






Seluone Senses Task

Task:
        You will be writing about your kitchen at home.

  • What can I see? My eyes got better I can
see the food that I needed to use I needed a
knife to cut my food so my eyes looked at the
right knife to use.

  • What can I hear? My ears turned big and my
hearing got louder I can hear loud cutting sounds.

  • What can I smell? My nose smelled something
nice and it showed me the smell to the food.

  • What can I taste? My mouth was biting hard it
made loud noise I can hear crunch crunch crunch
when I was biting.

  • What can I feel? When I was cooking it felt
like someone was cutting my hands and I
felt no hands after that.

Seluone Fire on the Farm

  Fire on the Farm


Once there was a farm with three horses. The three
horses were named Aster Star and Jess. There were
two dogs named Tip and Black. The kids names
were Toby and Shannon and they lived in a farm. Their parents went to the bank for an hour. The
kids had to stay home alone. Then their parents
left to the bank and then after a few minutes,
there was a fire at the pines paddock and the
three horses stayed at the pines paddock.  Shannon
went to go save the three horses because she
didn't want the horses to burn. Then
she went to get the dogs Tip and Black
to put them inside. After that Shannon went to
get the three wheeler. After Shannon went off. To
save the three horses she had to go across
the house paddock. Over the dry creek and then
the long paddock then finally the pines paddock. She
was at the pines paddock she got the
three horses then took them back to the farm.

who is my hero

Who is my hero? Paragraph writing
Point: What is the point of this paragraph?
My mum is my hero because she makes my food.
Explain: Explain your point so that the reader knows what your point is about, and so you know what you are writing about.
She makes me any food I like and it is delicious!
Example/Evidence: is there anything from your research or that you know that can back up your point?
Mum makes me toast and porridge for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, and she surprises me with different things for dinner.
Relevance: summarise your paragraph and link it back to the question!
She is the best helper and that is why she is my hero.

Seluone ‘Show not Tell’ Task

Work with a partner to see if you can rewrite one of these  to ‘Show
not Tell’
I felt angry. My hands crunched to fist and then I kicked the door
and stomped out of the door.


It was a sunny day. The sun was so bright my eyes where red and
my face was sunburn and the clouds were nowhere to be seen.


It was cold at the beach. The water was grey, a reflection from
the sky, and the wind was cold it wiped tears from eyes
and the towels were wet from keeping the people dry.
Brainstorm as many different ideas as you can that show that it was cold at the beach.




Now try to write a paragraph using these ideas that shows it was cold at the beach,
without using the words beach or cold (don't just switch the word cold to another
adjective such as freezing as that is still just telling. - Try to show that you
are cold. Think about how you are feeling/what you are doing/what you see/
hear/feel to help show this.
