High on a hill above the village stood a lighthouse. It stood as a warning for  ships to stay away. There
were treacherous rocks below.

Meanwhile down in the village people were drinking beer. They were having a celebration.
up in the lighthouse.

The lighthouse keeper was working by candlelight.
He shut the window because it was too loud.

The lighthouse keeper looked into the lamp.
“Oh bother ,”  he thought.
“The light has gone out.

Suddenly a ship’s horn plast.
In a panic he tried to lift up the lamp but tripped
over his toolbox . “ Crash ! “ the lamp
smashed on the ground.
